Yankees Captain Derek Jeter To Retire After 2014 Season
(New York, NY) -- The 2014 baseball season will be the last for Yankees captain Derek Jeter. The longtime shortstop took to his Facebook account Wednesday to make the announcement. In a post he writes he could not be more sure about his decision, and he knows it in his heart. Jeter sat out for much of the past season with several injuries. He thanked the Steinbrenner family, managers, teammates, and fans for their support over the past 20 years he's played in pinstripes.
