Wrigley Field Celebrates 100th Anniversary
(Chicago, IL) -- Today is the 100th anniversary of the first game at Wrigley Field. The "Friendly Confines" originally opened April 23, 1914 as Weeghman Park with a game between the Chicago Federals and Kansas City Packers. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Chicago Cubs are marking the anniversary with throwback uniforms of the Federals and Packers for this afternoon's game. This is the first of nine scheduled throwback games for the Cubs this season.
