Woman Records Her Own Arrest, Faces Wiretapping Charge

(Springfield, MA) -- A Massachusetts woman will be arraigned for unlawful wiretapping and other charges today after allegedly recording her own arrest on her smartphone. Springfield Police were responded to an early Sunday morning call that the woman, Karen Dziewit, had been drinking and refused to stop yelling out on the street. Officers think she hit the record button on her smartphone as she was being arrested and then hid the device in her purse. Police discovered her phone was still recording when they were booking her. Dziewit is also facing disorderly conduct and open container charges.
