White House: Obama Considering Exec Actions On Immigration
(Washington, DC) -- White House spokesman Josh Earnest says President Obama is seriously considering executive actions on comprehensive immigration reform.
Earnest blamed House Republicans for obstructing reform by failing to take up a bipartisan bill that cleared the Senate a year ago. Earlier, Republican Speaker John Boehner said the House would actively oppose any executive actions the President may sign on immigration. He argued that such actions would add to Obama's, quote, "legacy of lawlessness." The House voted this week to authorize a lawsuit against the President, alleging executive overreach.
