Walmart Truck Involved In Tracy Morgan Accident, Condolences Offered

(New Brunswick, NJ) -- Walmart is promising to do what it can to help the investigation of the accident that landed comedian Tracy Morgan in the hospital and claimed the life of one man. The retailer confirmed in a statement Saturday that one of its trucks was involved in the crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday morning. While offering its "deepest condolences" to the victims and their families, Walmart said it would take full responsibility if an investigation determined that its truck caused the accident. The truck's driver, Kevin Roper, has been charged.
ABC News cited police earlier saying he may have dozed off before slamming into the back of the limo bus Morgan and his crew were riding in. The "30 Rock" actor and three others are hospitalized and listed in critical condition. Comedian James "Jimmy Mack" McNair was killed.
