(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Minnesota Vikings are handing out a three game suspension to assistant coach Mike Priefer for homophobic remarks he made during the 2012 NFL season. The suspension comes after the release of an independent investigation into allegations made by former punter Chris Kluwe . Earlier this week, Kluwe's lawyer said he was suing the team for refusing to release the investigative report over the allegations. Kluwe also claimed his activism in support of gay marriage led to his release from the Vikings. Priefer will miss three games without pay during the upcoming season, though it could be reduced to two games if he attends sensitivity training.
