Veterans Organization Leader Says Problems In Fort Collins Are Widespread
(Undated) -- The head of Concerned Veterans For America says a veterans clinic in Fort Collins, Colorado is not the only one falsifying records. Pete Hegseth is CEO of the national veterans organization.
A VA investigation showed clerks at the Department of Veterans Affairs clinic in Fort Collins were told last year to falsify appointment records. Hegseth says they were told to make it look like patients were being seen within 14 days. However, the findings say many veterans treated at the clinic waited months to be seen. Meanwhile, the director of the Phoenix, Arizona VA healthcare system has been put on leave amid claims that patients died while waiting for appointments.
