U.S. Marine Held In Mexico Appears In Court, Fires Attorney
(Tijuana) -- A U.S. Marine jailed in Mexico on gun charges is changing lawyers. Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi fired his attorney before appearing at a hearing in a Tijuana courthouse Wednesday. He has been held by Mexican authorities for almost two months after he allegedly crossed the border near San Diego with several registered guns. Tahmooressi claims he made a wrong turn at the border crossing. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 4th.
