U.S. Contractor In Cuba On Hunger Strike
(Undated) -- A U.S. government contractor is going on a hunger strike to protest his treatment in a Cuban prison. Alan Gross stopped eating last week in objection to inaction by both the American and Cuban governments. Gross has served more than four years since his arrest for passing out communications materials under a U.S. funded program. He was sentenced to 15 years for crimes against the Cuban state. Gross is reportedly in poor health.
