U.S. Considering New Sanctions Against Russia
(Washington, DC) -- The White House is expressing support for Ukraine's military efforts to expel pro-Russian separatists from buildings in its eastern region.

During his daily briefing, presidential spokesman Jay Carney said while force isn't a preferred option, Ukraine is within its rights to disarm separatists and drive them out. Carney also said the U.S. is considering new sanctions against Russia, but won't make a decision until after meeting with other foreign leaders in Geneva.
