(College Park, MD) -- A major university is the latest victim of hackers. The University of Maryland announced the school's database had been breached, exposing records containing personal information. The database contained more than 300-thousand records of students, faculty and staff at the College Park and Shady Grove campuses. The data includes names, Social Security numbers and dates of birth. The university is offering one year of free credit monitoring to all people affected by the breach.
