(Undated) -- Two cross-country skiers are dead after an avalanche in Eastern Oregon caught a group of eight skiers on Tuesday. In addition to the two skiers who were killed, two others suffered broken bones. The group from Seattle were on a guided trip of the Oregon back country in the Southern Wallowa Mountains, about 350 miles east of Portland.
