(Las Vegas, NV) -- Customers at two downtown Las Vegas casinos will be able to use Bitcoins for rooms, food and gifts, but not in the casino. The D Las Vegas and Golden Gate will accept the digital currency at the front desks, and at two restaurants and a gift shop. Derek Stevens, who's majority owner of both properties, says there's a lot more excitement around Bitcoin use than he first thought. Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett tells the "Review-Journal" there have been no discussions on Bitcoin use for gambling.
