(Undated) -- The first smart watches featuring Google's Android Wear software are available starting today. The Samsung Gear Live watch retails for 200 dollars and LG's G watch has a pricetag of 229 dollars. The wearable devices sync up with the owner's cell phone which needs to be an Android handset version of 4.3 or later. The watches' Android Wear software gives the user a variety of notifications and other information on a rectangular screen and responds to voice commands. One negative mentioned about these smart watches is that their screens can be difficult to read outdoors in the sunlight.
