(St. Paul, MN) -- A Minnesota State Patrol trooper was injured after his vehicle was struck in St. Paul. The "Pioneer Press" reports that Trooper Jack Tiegs was stopped by a stalled vehicle that was blocking the left lane of the eastbound Interstate 94 ramp to southbound U.S. Highway 61 early Saturday morning when his vehicle was rear-ended. Both Trooper Tiegs and the driver of the other vehicle, 46-year-old Jay Binnebose of Maplewood, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Authorities say that alcohol was found in Binnebose's system and it was a factor in the crash.
