Transit Officials Consider Light Rail Plan Changes
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minneapolis transit officials could reveal a compromise in plans for the controversial Southwest Corridor light rail project as early as next week. The compromise could include dropping plans for a tunnel north of the Kenilworth corridor water channel in favor of an above-ground route. A tunnel south of the water channel is still in the works. City officials will hold a public meeting Tuesday to discuss more details.
