Three Men Stabbed At Minnesota Country Music Festival
(Undated) -- There are reports of more violence at another country music event. Detroit Lakes, Minnesota's DL-Online says a Minot, North Dakota man was arrested after allegedly stabbing three men early Thursday morning at a WE Fest campground site. The stabbing followed an earlier encounter in which the man, who appeared to be intoxicated, began shocking people with a Taser. When a few of those people approached him later he attacked them with a knife. None of the victims suffered serious injuries, and were treated and released at a local hospital. Despite the arrest, Becker County Sheriff Kelly Shannon tells InForum.com this year's WE Fest was comparatively calmer, and police responded to fewer calls about violent incidents at the event.
The WE Fest stabbing is the latest report of trouble at a country concert in recent weeks. Last month 50 people were arrested at a Keith Urban show in the Boston area, and a teenager was reportedly raped. In addition 46 people needed medical attention, and 22 were taken to area hospitals. A woman was also reportedly gang raped at the Faster Horses festival in Michigan in July. And a man last seen at a Jason Aldean show in Cleveland was found dead four days later.
