(McAllen, TX) -- The mayor of a Texas border town admits costs to care for a wave undocumented immigrants are mounting. McAllen Mayor Jim Darling says so far, his city's spent over 70-thousand dollars on shelter, meals and other expenses. He also said that amount could swell to half-a-million dollars before the end of the year. However, Darling says things aren't out of control yet in McAllen. He also said city officials and various relief organizations are doing what they can.
