Stocks Hit Record Territory After Jobs Report

(New York, NY) -- Wall Street is wrapping up the week in new territory. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 closed at record highs after a stronger-than-expected jobs report. The Labor Department said 217-thousand jobs were created last month, returning employment to pre-recession levels. The Dow jumped 88 points to 16-924. The S&P 500 climbed nine points to 19-49. The Nasdaq rose 25 points to 43-21.
