(New York, NY) -- The Standard Hotel is speaking out on the elevator footage of music stars Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange Knowles that was leaked to TMZ on Monday. A rep for the hotel in New York's Meatpacking District says they are "shocked and disappointed" at the breach in their security system that made the bombshell video public. The footage shows what looks like Beyonce's sister Solange violently attacking her brother-in-law inside an elevator at an after party for the Met Gala last week. The Standard says it's investigating the leak "with the utmost urgency" and promise to "discipline and prosecute the individuals involved."
It's unclear what led up to the seemingly violent episode. The footage obtained by TMZ lacks audio, but shows Beyonce's little sister in an apparent rage and being held back by a security guard for the length of the elevator ride.
