Southern California Storms Kill One, Strand Thousands

(Undated) -- Parts of Southern California are a mess after huge thunderstorms set off flash floods and mudslides, killing one man on Sunday. Several people had to be treated for hypothermia after they were pulled from raging streams. The worst of the damage is in the mountains about 75 miles east of Los Angeles. That's where roads are washed out and thousands of people were stranded in their homes yesterday.
