South Korean Prime Minister Resigns Over Ferry Disaster
(Seoul) -- South Korea's Prime Minister is stepping down over the government's poor response to the April 16th ferry disaster. More than 300 people, mostly students and teachers have died or are missing and presumed dead when the ferry sank on a routine trip. The captain and crew abandoned the ship after telling passengers to stay in their cabins. They are under arrest and facing charges. Government officials had originally announced that everyone on the ship had been rescued.
