Snow Likely To Melt Away By Next Week
(Minneapolis, MN) -- There is plenty of new snow covering the Twin Cities, but highs are in the 60s by the middle of next week. The National Weather Service believes up to 12 inches of new snow will fall in the western part of the metro area by later today, with four to eight inches in the southeast metro. Winds will be gusting to around 30 miles an hour at times today, but it will be warm enough in the 30s to allow salt to melt away the ice and snow on the roads.
