Silver Says NBA Taking Right Action Against Sterling

(New York, NY) -- NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says the league is taking the right course of action in trying to oust Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
The NBA has formally charged Sterling with conduct detrimental to the league and its teams. Sterling was issued a lifetime ban from the NBA after recorded racial comments against African-Americans went public last month. An apology in a CNN interview only seemed to make things worse. The NBA Board of Governors needs three-quarters of owners to vote in favor of ousting Sterling. He has until May 27th to respond and can attend a June 3rd hearing when the board will vote.
