Senators: Obama Must Visit Border During His Visit
(Washington, DC) -- Several Republican U.S. senators say President Obama must make time to visit the southern border today. Ted Cruz of Texas says he's astounded the President won't do so.
Obama has invited Texas Governor Rick Perry to meet with him today at an immigration roundtable in Dallas. Tens of thousands of Central American migrants have poured over the southwestern U.S. border in recent months. The White House has asked Congress for almost four-billion dollars in emergency allocations to better deal with the border surge.
