(Washington, DC) -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is defending President Obama's decision to exchange five Taliban leaders for U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. In a Capitol news conference, Reid said it was clear that Bergdahl's health was in question and said the President had to move quickly. Reid received advance word from the White House about the swap. He became annoyed when he was pressed about exactly when he was informed and asked, "What difference does it make?" Some congressional leaders are angry about not being consulted about the swap before it was triggered. Bergdahl was released last weekend by the Taliban after five years in captivity. The Taliban prisoners who were released had been held in the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay.
