(Undated) -- Smartphone maker Samsung is preparing to release its own operating system called Tizen. The move could eventually make the company less dependent on Google's Android system if users take to the new software. The Korean electronics juggernaut will release the Samsung Z phone with Tizen in Russia in the third-quarter before expanding to other markets. While Samsung enjoys dominance in the global smartphone market, the primary user experience is all Google.
