(New York, NY) -- The New York Knicks are reportedly on the verge of hiring Derek Fisher as their next head coach. Yahoo Sports reports the Knicks and Fisher are finalizing a five-year, 25-million-dollar deal. The Knicks have announced they will hold a press conference on Tuesday to make a major announcement. Fisher just completed his 18th season in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 39-year-old won five NBA championships and averaged 8.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 1,287 career games with the Lakers, Warriors, Jazz, Thunder and Mavericks.
