(National Harbor, MD) -- Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is coming out as the early favorite for the 2016 Presidential race among conservative Republicans. Paul won the straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland today. The three-day event featured speeches from a parade of potential candidates for the White House in 2016. Paul fired up the crowd on Friday with a strong speech accusing President Obama of restricting civil liberties and ignoring the constitution. Paul received 31 percent of the unbinding votes. Texas Senator Ted Cruz came in second on the list of more than 20 names on the ballot.
