Punch Pizza Expanding After Increasing Wages
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Punch Pizza is adding another location six months after increasing wages for its employees to ten-dollars an hour. The Twin Cities restaurant bumped up the pay for workers before the state raised the minimum wage, and the move earned praise from President Obama in his State of the Union address. Punch Pizza will open its ninth store in Maple Grove in two weeks, and co-owner John Puckett tells WCCO-TV they have seen a big jump in sales, which he credits to the investment they've made in their employees.
