Protests Planned Against Sterling For Tuesday
(Los Angeles, CA) -- Demonstrators are expected to be out in full force tomorrow evening to protest L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling and his suspected racist remarks. A group of organizations, including the NAACP and the National Action Network, plan to hold a rally at 5:30 p.m. outside Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Clippers are set to host the Golden State Warriors in Game Five of their NBA first-round playoff series later that night.
Several sponsors have announced today they are ending or suspending their sponsorship agreements with the team over the alleged comments. The NBA is planning to announce potential action against Sterling on tomorrow.
