(Rancho Mirage, CA) -- The U.S. will avoid defaulting on its bills as President Obama signed the debt ceiling extension today. It is a clean, one-year extension of the government's borrowing authority with no conditions attached. The President also signed a measure restoring a one-percent cut in military pensions. Obama signed both bills without any press coverage at the Sunnylands/Annenberg Estate near Palm Springs, California where the President is spending the weekend.
