Poll: Minnesotans Want Higher Minimum Wage, But Not $9.50
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Most Minnesotans want the state's minimum wage to go up, but most also feel the DFL target of nine-dollars-50-cents an hour is too high. A new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll finds 79-percent believe the wage needs to be increased, with 42-percent wanting the nine-50. Fifty-four-percent of Republicans polled fear raising the minimum wage that high will lead to AsignificantA job losses compared to just five-percent of DFLers and Democrats.
