Police Shoot Dog During Chase

(Minneapolis, MN) -- A Minneapolis man has lost a pet after his dog was fatally shot by a police officer. Police reports say officers were chasing a teen in the 39-hundred-block of Aldrich Avenue last Friday. That is when a black dog reportedly lunged at the officers, forcing them to shoot. The pet's owner, Josh Lyczkowski, had just let his two dogs out in the backyard before the incident occurred. Police did capture the teen who had reportedly stolen a car.
