(San Diego, CA) -- Supporters of a Marine veteran being held behind bars in Mexico now say they expect the White House to get involved. An online petition asking the President to secure the release of Andrew Tahmooressi reached 100-thousand signatures over the weekend. That's the number that typically receives a response from the administration. Tahmooressi crossed into Mexico with three guns in his truck, claiming he made a wrong turn at the border crossing because of confusing signs. He's been behind bars for two months now, and if he's convicted, Tahmooressi faces up to 21 years in a Mexican prison.
