Pentagon Spokesman Defends U.S. Weapons/Ammo Sales To Israel
(Undated) -- A bill providing 225-million dollars to rearm Israel's "Iron Dome" missile defense system is on its way to the House after being passed unanimously by the Senate. Pentagon spokesman Read Admiral John Kirby was asked whether calling for ceasefires between Israel and Hamas and continuing to arm one side of the conflict may send the wrong signal. He dismissed that suggestion.
Friday's Senate vote on "Iron Dome" funding was unanimous. The money will go towards the missiles that are used to shoot down rockets fired at Israel.
