(Pretoria) -- The murder trial of South African track star Oscar Pistorius is back on today. The Paralympic and Olympic sprinter is charged with deliberately shooting and killing his girlfriend. The double-amputee athlete insists he shot Reeva Steenkamp through a closed bathroom door because he believed an intruder had broken into his home near Pretoria before dawn on Valentine's Day of 2013. Prosecutors say Pistorius shot Steenkamp after the couple argued. The trial has been in recess for more than two weeks.
