Oldest U.S. Congressman Ousted In Texas Runoff

(Rockwall, TX) -- The oldest U.S. Congressman is going to be out of a job next year. Texas Congressman Ralph Hall was defeated in the GOP primary runoff on Tuesday by former U.S. attorney John Ratcliffe. The 91-year-old Hall has been in Congress since 1980. He originally started as a Democrat, before becoming a Republican in 2004. Hall is the first incumbent to be defeated in the 2014 elections.
