(Los Angeles, CA) -- Crews are working to clean up a large oil spill in a Los Angeles community. Officials say a 20-inch pipe carrying oil burst this morning in Atwater Village, sending ten-thousand gallons of crude oil into the streets. The size of the spill was originally estimated at 50-thousand gallons. Los Angeles Fire Department officials say the clean up process on San Fernando Road near Electronic Place could take about 24 hours. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area if possible.
