(Atwater Village, CA) -- A rupture in an oil pipe in the Los Angeles-area is making a mess of the morning commute in one community. Los Angeles Fire officials say the Atwater Village sent 50-thousand gallons of crude oil into the streets. Fire officials say a handful of businesses are impacted by the accident and that the oil is "knee-high" in some areas. The rupture turned into a geyser at one point, sending oil gushing 30 feet in the air.
