(St. Paul, MN) -- The woman struck and killed by a Green Line light-rail train in St. Paul has been identified. Metro Transit officials say 42-year-old Shana Buchanan of Minneapolis was struck late Sunday morning by an eastbound train as she was walking in the crosswalk. Police believe she may have been wearing headphones which could have prevented her from hearing the warning signals. Buchanan died at the scene on University Avenue. This is the first death since the Green Line opened in mid-June.
