Obama Speaks To U.S. Troops In South Korea

(Seoul) -- President Obama is taking some time out from his diplomatic mission to meet with U.S. troops in South Korea. The President praised members of the armed forces at Yongsan Garrison in Seoul. Obama told the troops they are the lynchpin of the alliance between the United States and South Korea. The President also spoke of the military's role in supporting democracy in the face of threats from North Korea. Obama is in the middle of his four-nation tour designed to reassure Asian allies that the United States remains committed to the region.
