(Washington, DC) -- "Religion strengthens America." So said President Obama at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in DC. He warned that freedom of religion is threatened in many regions around the world. Obama argued that freedom of religion is central to human dignity. The President called on North Korea to release American missionary Kenneth Bae . Bae has been held for more than a year by North Korea. Obama also offered prayers for U.S. troops overseas, saying they do "such great work to keep us safe." Meantime, the President said he looks forward to traveling to the Vatican next month to meet Pope Francis.
