(New Britain, CT) -- President Obama is still pushing for a hike in the minimum wage, saying the U.S. economy should work for everybody, "not just for some." Speaking at Central Connecticut State University, the President said the economic equality gap in the U.S. must be closed. He repeated a call for a hike in the minimum wage to ten-dollars-and-ten-cents an hour. Obama said it will help struggling families and boost the national economy. There is little sentiment in the Republican-led House for a boost in the minimum wage.
