(Evanston, IL) -- Northwestern University football players are set to vote today on whether to try and unionize. The National Labor Relations Board gave them the go-ahead last month to form a union and negotiate benefits. The move could change the landscape of college athletics. The NLRB ruled scholarship players aren't primarily students because of the amount of time dedicated to football. Northwestern says unionization and collective bargaining are not appropriate ways to address student-athletes' concerns.
