North Dakota Officials Assessing Tornado Damage
(Watford City, ND) -- Authorities in western North Dakota's McKenzie County are assessing the damage from Monday night's tornado that tore through an R-V camp near Watford City. Emergency Manager Karolin Rockvoy says it was a scary night.
Nine people were injured, including a 15-year-old girl who is in critical condition at Minot's Trinity Hospital. Eight of those injured were treated and released. KXMC-TV reports 15 RV's in a nearby park were destroyed. The American Red Cross has opened an emergency shelter at the Civic Center in Watford City for those who need it.
