(Jerusalem) -- Israel's prime minister is steeling his country for what might be a long campaign in the Gaza Strip. In an address to his country today, Benjamin Netanyahu said any solution to the conflict between Israel and Hamas would require the demilitarization of the entire territory. Netanyahu added that Israel will continue to act with "force and discretion" until its mission is accomplished. More than a thousand Gazans and dozens of Israeli soldiers have died in the offensive since it launched on July 8th.
