(Sutton, NE) -- Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman is preparing to visit areas of the state that were ravaged by severe thunderstorms Sunday. The governor and state emergency management officials will visit the town of Sutton on Monday. Several downtown businesses in the community of 15-hundred people suffered extensive damage and numerous trees were uprooted when an apparent tornado struck Sunday night. The severe storms also impacted the Omaha area as straight-line winds downed power lines and trees and left thousands without power.
