NASA Names Building In Honor Of Neil Armstrong
(Cape Canaveral, FL) -- A building at the Kennedy Space Center is now named for the first man to walk on the moon. The Operations and Checkout Building is the last one that astronauts leave before their trip to the launch pad and it's being renamed to honor Neil Armstrong.
Michael Collins flew with Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the Apollo 11 moon mission 45 years ago this week. Today, the Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building is being used by NASA to test and assemble the ship that will carry humans to Mars.
