(Detroit, MI) -- A 12-year-old boy who went missing nearly two weeks ago is in protective custody after being found alive in his family's basement. Detroit police discovered Charlie Bothuell behind a barricade of boxes in his Lafayette Park townhouse yesterday. Police and FBI investigators had searched the home four times since Bothuell was reported missing on June 14th. Detroit Police Chief James Craig says his department used cadaver dogs at one point and he believes they should have picked up on something if the child had been in the basement during the search.
